From Brampton, for Brampton.
Elect Taran Chahal for Brampton City Councillor, Wards 7 & 8.
Why I'm running
Listen. Follow through. Get things done.
I'm running because I want the city my family calls home to be a place where people feel safe, services work, and families have opportunities to build their future.
Brampton has been my home for 30 years. I've lived and worked here, met my wife here, and built my life in this community.
As a CPA, I've learned to study the numbers, ask tough questions, and make every dollar count. Working with the City of Brampton taught me how City Hall works, and how to follow an issue through until residents get answers.
I'm running to be a councillor who listens, follows through, and gets things done.

The moment
Brampton deserves better. We can build it.
The cost of living keeps climbing, and too many services are downloaded onto the city while families feel the squeeze. This is not the Brampton we want to hand to our kids. With responsible spending and real accountability, we can do better - and we can start now.
The Brampton Deal.
You work hard. You pay your taxes. You play by the rules. You expect a city that holds up its end. Neighbourhoods that are looked after. Streets that are safer. Growth that comes with the roads, parks, and services to support it.
See my prioritiesProperty standards & bylaw enforcement
Spot problems before they grow, get City staff on the issue, and follow through until residents get answers.
Safer streets
Target speeding, improve lighting where it's needed, and act on neighbourhood safety concerns.
Growth & infrastructure
Match growth with roads and services, invest in parks and community facilities, and fight for Brampton's fair share.
Jobs & economic growth
Support local businesses, cut through City red tape, and make Brampton easier to invest in.
